Difficulties and solutions for the production of e-Content for Science and Technology Education in Portugal

Abstract


The e-Learning as a teaching-learning method has been developed in Portugal in relation to vocational training and university especially in science and technology. In this process, companies and universities that offer e-learning seek to overcome their problems especially in relation to quality of teaching and quality of content, so this article has the objective to present the main difficulties and solutions found by Portuguese institutions that produce e-contents, especially to training in science and technology. The research approach is quantitative and qualitative. We used as instruments for data collection questionnaires, interviews and document analysis. Our study checked that the main difficulties are related which the reuse of content, metadata generation, time of production and aspects relating to the contract for the production of content.
